After reading replys to some of todays posts,I see the word TEOTWAWKI staring me in the face again. Knowing the amount of collective IQ on this forum, I may be moving to a 12. More power to the sheilds! Scotty

No, it's just that reality is sinking into. BTW, went to Costco on Sunday and they had a pallet with 100 gal. propane tanks (24 tanks). I thought that was interesting since I have never seen them in the store before. I went back Wednesday and walked by the propane tanks and there were only 4 of them left! When I made my purchase, the checker said, "Oh, you must be preparing for Y2K, because everyone is buying those and you got the last two!" I acted dumb and said it was for my camping trips this summer. Saw a few people loaded down with TP, paper towels, liquor, flour and sugar, and paper plates...made me feel good that at least a few had their wits about them.

Where is Paul lately? I miss his posts. Come back Paul!

I see the same thing at Costco lately, some more preparation is taking place.

I believe the question could be re-phrased: Has anyone gone Milne ?

The sociological latencies are very large, almost like the Maginot Line. By the time the vanguard (that's us) realizes that remediation has taken the curse off and the major dangers have been addressed (probably late summer), the public will be fully waking up to a serious problem that no longer exists. The economy will redirect, of course, to meet demands (JIT systems do this really quickly).

Let's hope people *stay* prepared just on general principles.

I haven't gone 'Milne', but am concerned nevertheless. Perhaps it's because I don't live within 10 miles of a 7-11? ;-)
