Nice job on the exposure. I'd prefer to give the bird a little more space in front of his beak. I suggest a horizontal oreintation where the image is cropped just below the reflections on his neck and use the "boring rule of 1/3s" to place it 1/3 of the way in from the left. This will give it some space to look into.

Nice exposure and detail on the glistening black feathers and beak. I particularly like the eye ring and catchlight. Good shot!
