Where's your father located? Wouldn't pay for anyone here if your in New York and we're in California.

The barrels are in NY. Cheapest shipping to CA is UPS ground at $21.87 per barrel. SORRY!

Where in NY? Is it possible to pick up from the Buffalo, Rochester area?

We have been trying to help those with limited income in my community (San Francisco Bay Area) to get ready. My brand new food grade ( probably the best design by the largest such manufacturer) 55 Gallon water barrel only sell for $35, 30 gallon for $27. You do have to add S&H. Still hard to beat my price. But in the Bay Area, you can pick them up or if you order around 8-10, it will be delivered to your door. Alpine freeze-dried Gourmet foods is at least 15% off. Most companies don't even give discount or only for some systems (1 year...).We 'll be getting a safe, odorless, alternative fuel for cooking. Nationally known brand natural vitamins & supplements are way off the retail price.

I didn't want to post here earlier because I fear a flood of calls. We are not in primarily in for the money. There is a sense of satisfaction in helping people. So if you REALLY need help, give us a call at Highway To Health 650-634-0308 open till 9pm PST Monady-Saturday. Since we have a lot of calls, please leave a message or better yet an email. Our web site is under construction.

Anne, good to know that there are still people like you out there. I have been so incensed at so many suppliers who are trying to gouch people with exorbitant prices!! I guess they figure they will only have one year to make big money. Been ripped off twice. A neighnour called this company which promise food delivery in 3 months, it took 5 months! They don't even bother to return my calls of inquiry. I don't really need barrels(wish I have known about you earlier) but will gladly refer coworkers to you. Anne, if you still check this board, my sister just called you and even though only get to speak to you for 3 minutes before you have to get off ,she said you seem genuinely trying to help people.

I got a couple of 55 gallon heavy plastic barrels from my local pepsi bottler. He said they have hundreds on hand and sold them to me for $8 each. They originally held syrup for making the soda. I already filled one up in the basement using a hose in case we got an ice storm this winter like we did last winter. Check your local bottling plants.

If you are really hurting financially, consider used ones, but I've tried several from different bottling plant/ stores, and they still have some smell after I clean them thoroughly. If I had to do it all over, I'd get new ones. A buddy of mine have a similar experience.
