Titanic is a load of shit. The fact that people watch it multiple times says more about how the majority of people have no sense of taste. Furthermore, this type of adulation only encourages Hollywood to produce more of this bombastic, cinematic tripe. I can think of hundreds of films that display more depth of emotion and talent.

Just because you didn't like the movie, doesn't mean that we, who did like it, have no sense of taste. Perhaps some of us are just intrigued by the actual event itself. By the way, if you thought it was a load of ****, why are you at a website for this movie, more than a year after it was released?

Obviously.....saying Titanic was shit is going to get you in the shit.Maybe you can't handle that alot of people adore that film because it has the sort of love in it that we wish we could have.I've seen it so many times but it still makes me cry because of the tragedy and the way they experience the love we dream of.I know maybe some people have that sort of intense love but not many. It's an absorbing film, with, although I'm a huge fan,the script wasn't at it's best but the acting, effects and music make it what it is.I think James Cameron should be very proud at this all time classic he's created.People are entitled to their opinion but if you're coming on a Titanic site.....don't piss people off by slagging off their favourite film that obviously gives them and me happiness to watch and talk about.

I think you're abit confused.I'm Jo....I was having a go at Dan because he slagged Titanic off saying it was shit.I'm a girl!! But I do know a bloke who loves Titanic and I watched him cry through my own tears when we watched it!

you should all watch 'a night to remember' instead, a far superior
'titanic' film if not a superior film.

I liked the movie because the sinking was very effective, but as far as the story line goes then no It wasn't very good, it was very unrealistic, the things they did would never of happened in the edwardian era, for example a third class bum like Jack would never have been allowed in the first class sections, like when he is showing Rose his drawings and when he tries to find Rose in the Dining saloon during the sunday service, that would never happen in a million years firstly there were locked gates that separated the classes so there was no way in hell that passengers could move into a different class of the ship, also I was dissappointed that they showed officer Murdock as somone who killed somone and then shot himself, as that never happened, he was seen until the very end helping people. I don't think anythone has made the ultimate Titanic movie yet.

First reply in 5 yrs , looking at my comments I now realise that Titanic is a heavily flawed film, shit script, questionable acting and poor storyline but it still brings out the soppy tears in me. I think James Camerons problem was he spent too much time on the special effects to give a toss to the storyline. Plus it has some awful cheezy lines, 'i'm flying' Yak But still, despite its flaws, such as all four funnels smoking when one of them was actually a dummy and yes Murdoch shooting himself and Rose putting her finger up at Lovejoy (just would not happen) its still a wonderfully entertaining and moving film.
