Michael Hyatt on Shortwave Now (7:00 PM EST) 5.070 MHz

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Michael Hyatt, author of "The Millenium Bug", on WWCR, 5.070 MHz shortwave since 7 pm EST. ZRemarks so far include his year's food supply set aside for his own family.

If you don't have a shortwave radio yet, what're you waiting for, January 2000???

Synchronicity, Sparks. I just dug out the shortwave radio that belonged to my brother who died in 1989. After I fumbled with the batteries a few minutes, the thing fired up. Without intentionally adjusting the dial--boom--there's Michael Hyatt. Weird.

If you wouldn't mind, please privately email some good stations to regularly tune into, especially with regard to Y2K. Thanks!

Maybe you were meant to hear it, FM! Here's a few domestic SW freqs:

AM: 3.210/3.215, 5.070, 7.415, 12.160

If you've got SSB reception capability, try: 6.890 and 9.400

If you're at all left-leaning, I'd suggest you take your high-blood-pressure pills before doing much listening.

Add AM: 5.085 MHz to that list. Just had another Y2K author, David somebody, a GI.
