Washington Post front page details offshore Russian account where foreign deposits were "deposited"...sounds like we're going to war, folks!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

This is on the Washington Post today, it is by their top Russia writer David Hoffman, it's from a major American newspaper, and it confirms what was said last month on NewsMax. Sorry I can't figure out how to create a link, perhaps I should learn. I WILL learn. Let me just say technology scares me sometimes.

It's got nothing to do with war, you dildo. Nor y2k.

Nathan,

do your parents know that you are playing with their computer?

-- Incredelous (anon.@anon.com), March 08, 1999.

Nathan, you need to be more factual for people to take your posts seriously. The Russian's have been unable to handle money for years in a centralized fashion, i.e. people skimming off profits has been one of the reasons Russia has been in dire governmental straits for years. there is nothing new here as far as I can tell, although in your defense I might add that the amount of money here is large, that this does come at a time when the Russians have been retrofitting their army, and that Fimaco appears to be a complete con, raising big questions about where this money went. The deafening silence from officials, of course, nothing new.

Nathan, I'm sorry if in fact you happen not to be a dildo. It's just that I'm feeling protective of the forum and don't want to see it made to look bad by having daft posts unanswered, there for all to see, as if they represent the cutting edge of y2kdoomer-thought. It helps to make me feel like I'm doing something useful, other than just being a smartarse and wasting pixels.

Hi there humpy!

Met you over in Pastor Chris's forum. Left a message there for you if you have the nerve to read it. Balaam's what?

-- nathan impson,

Don't let them get you down. You are correct. However we win!

-- Mark Hillyard (foster@inreach.com), March 08, 1999.

Yes Mark, I did make a bit of a donkey out of myself, but innocently so. Your post over there seemed to accuse me of being smitten with the idea of riding some angel's ass. ?? You know me too well.

Nathan, certainly don't let us get you down, just make better posts.

Humpty,

Your first impression of Nathan was correct. If someone reads the article, and thinks y2k and war, well what can I say? When your right, youre right.
