image transfers to canvas

I was wondering If I could do polaroid or image transfers to canvas?

It's an interesting question. I think that emulsion transfers would be problematic unless the canvas was stretched very tightly and not bent. If the canvas folded, the image would tend to flake off. Are you talking about artist's canvas that has been stretched and primed with gesso, or unbleached cloth? For image transfers, I imagine the dyes would adhere to canvas cloth well enough, but the colour of the canvas would affect the images appearance. Don't know about permanence. Depends on what was done with the canvas afterwards. Tina
