Anyone know anything about John Deere generators? Noise level, reliability, etc.

John Deere diesel gensets (~20KVA and under) are made with Yanmar TNE engines. They run at 1800 rpm with 4 pole generators. The engines are supposed to be fantastic engines with TBO numbers ranging from 10,000 to 20,000 hours. I've looked at one of these for purchase, but have not made up my mind yet.

i have noted that more than a few people are interested in buying a generator for backup power. a web site called The Juice Page provides a tremendous amout of information about generators, and how to have them hooked to your home. i would put in a link to this page but i dont know how to do it using microsoft explorer, if you know how, let me know and i will send the link
