What type of propane heater would be best for a home with 4 adults and 2 children?

Bob - Just thought I throw in something on kerosene heaters (I would recommend Kerosene in the house) I have 2 Kerosun (Omni 230) propane heaters & Love em. I saw a few left at sears for about $ 159.00. You can even cook on them (If things got real tough)!!

Doesn't kerosene produce a thick smoke?
