Got short session on six oclock local TV to talk about Y2K.

Took the oportunity to focus on the interconectedness of societies and the need for self reliance.

Emergency Services Manager, in tandem, stated computer based rates systems, (landtaxes), may be an early warning of the seriousness of the problem in June/July but contingency plans are in place ( a paper system) so we will still get charged. (And City services will still be provided).

My second TV report on Y2K and came with an invite to report again in a month. GIs among reporters and Front persons. Encouraging signs especially the awareness of the need for effective contingency plans.
