Very nice, Garry! Nice and sharp, good use of depth of field to emphasize the purple petals and spot-on exposure. The colors are very pleasing and the detail in the stamens(?) is great.

I think that this is a beautiful image. It is sharp, well exposed and has a nice "feel". The only thing I would have done different is to have moved the shot to the right a little to capture all of the right leaf. I think that the curvature of that leaf would have been a great compliment to the flower.

Thank you both for your comments. With regard to the leaf on the right, I made the agonizing decision to crop off some of what was there (indeed, nice contours) in order to better position the stamens in the composition, given that the blossom was facing to the left.
