At the end of ABC World News Tonight on Monday, there was a quick promo that said something very similar to this...

"Some people are quietly preparing for Y2K. Should you? Find out on ABC World News Tonight."

Is this about this evening, Tuesday, March 2nd? Or were they just saying to expect more Y2K coverage in the future?

Kevin--maybe Y2K will become the stock 'come-on' tag, a bit of T & A to keep the home folk tuned in. Perhaps it is dawning on the media mavens that the lure of apocalypse is strong wine for a populace jaded on sex and greed. Fear, the opiate of the masses.

It's official. I just heard Peter Jennings say they'll talk about Y2K this evening (Tuesday)... on ABC World News Tonight. He said it's on what you need to know about Y2K if you're in a small town, a medium- sized town, or a large city.

I don't expect it to suggest heavy stockpiling, but it didn't sound "happy-face" either.
