I find Larry Sanger's Review (http://y2kreview.com/) to be one of the most consistantly reliable and intelligent y2k news sites available. If I find myself short of time some days, I know I can go there and get the 'scoop' for the day. He's putting out a call for help.(Read more about how he's been working etc. at his site.)
