We had a story on our local news (Ch. 03 knbc, Wichita) tonight (10:00 p.m. broadcast) that stated that our local fire dept. was delayed receiving information about a house fire in the southeast part of the city due to the 911 system being down due to a computer problem. the system went down for approx. an hour and they had to rely on the older system which is 10years old. There was no mention of the computer problem having anything to do with Y2k problems/testing ect....I checked their website and found the story about the house fire but no news online about the 911 system at this point. No injuries due to the fire and don't believe that the response time by the fire dept. was that long of a delay......let you know if I hear anything else.....
