Another hitch in the embedded chips???

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Yesterday I read SOMEWHERE??? that a new problem in chips has been discovered. It has to do with transmitters or transducers or ?? The Society making the report stated that "no computer will work". Did anyone else catch this and where was it and is it valid?

Hoaxes abound in the embedded chip area. Drives you nuts trying to figure out what is and isn't true. Garbage like the Q7 (not even a transistor name) transistor hoax and the Cadilliac hoax get repeated for months after they have been shown to be frauds. Some frauds are more subtle and more persistant.
