DGI's increasing in porportionate numbers with GI's

Does it seem like the more people who get it, there are those who become aware but don't get it? I was thinking that at this late in the game everyone would get it, but obviously I'm wrong.

Some people don't want to get it because they can't comprehend the enormity of all that could happen. For some of us who first heard about it, we couldn't comprehend what all was involved, it had to sink in first. Some people I think are too frightened about the what possibilities are and thus refuse to accept it. I have a sister that is like that. Several months ago I talked to her about it, e-mailed her stuff, and she always came back saying "it's dangerous for you to think that way." She's living right in the middle of a neighborhood that has county housing, drive-by shootings, and bars on every window. She works for an insurance company and she said that her company was were compliant so everyone else is! So, I haven't mentioned it since. And I told her if she decides to show up at my door she better show up with a years worth of food and water. Thank God my other sister gets it!

Yes, Robb, I think you're right. As Bardou has pointed out, even those who live in areas likely to be most devastated by a Y2K meltdown refuse to see the cascade effects--and Bardou's sister works in the insurance industry too! Boggles the mind. I can only return to my oft-repeated belief that it's all due to "an undeveloped sense of consequence." Some of us, either by lucky genes, family or education, are able to see the connections immediately, just like the proverbial dominoes falling down one upon another. Others only see one domino falling and as long as they don't see it touching their domino, they think theyll be okay.

I've wondered what will happen when the bulk of these people finally get it, perhaps at the end of the summer? Could be earlier. I think they're going to be very angry. As usual, the physical outburst of anger and resentment will be directed at the closest available target--and it won't be Gates, Clinton, Gore or Koskinen! This is another reason why newbies should have enough supplies on hand RIGHT NOW to withstand maybe two weeks without going to the store, longer if possible. We may have to stay at home until the anger subsides somewhat.

Anyone else out there a little tired of the continual assumption that just because many who have seen the same facts come to a different conclusion, they are DGI's?

The person who sees Y2K as a 2 gets it just as much as the one who sees it as a 9.

How is it that many of you can't understand that the 2's opinion is just as valuable and intelligent as the 9's opinion?

Craig,

a. because not all opinions are of equal value. and b. because once the cascade effects become obvious, then it also becomes obvious that anyone who doesn't comprehend the cascade effects is DGI.
