Okay,

I have a stupid question.

Can I use HTML directly in the forum, or do I need to paste from somthing else like word?

After I learn how to do this, I'll be able to make some big bucks as a Y2K programmer!!! Thanks for the help.

Also, see this thread from yesterday. :<)= Hot Links

Deborah, you can do the typing anywhere. If you do a cut and paste from Word that's fine, but you can also just type HTML into the comment box. Program doesn't care where it originated, just what's there.

mmmMMmmm I love hotlinks. Almost as much as whiskey fruitcakes. This is a Hotlinks for Dummies (read clueless newbies like Chris once was) primer. The best way to learn how to do HTML hotlinks or any other fancy tricks for that matter, is to click on View in the menu, then click on page source. This will bring up a new browser page, independent from the previous one, which will show you all the dirty underwear of the fancy posts. This way, you can learn the neat tricks that make sophisticated posts look so... chic.

You don't need a Ph.D or a membership card to a Kool HTML Postings club. It's quite very simple.

Simply click on the above menu choices mentioned, observe the neat little tags inserted before each special effect you noticed on the original page, and pay special attention to the closing tags which are just like the opening tag, but have a "/" (slash) added, (these are a very important social etiquette, otherwise you will be berated and scolded as if you were the scourge of this forum), and then go merrily practicing your new found power of expression! (This thread is a perfect place to practice.) If trying to guess what each tag stands for proves to be too difficult, try this link, which has a very good primer for basic HTML.

Happy HTML'ing!

And please, try to be more generous with your <.P> tags, which should separate your paragraphs more appropriately as the post above...
