What is the extent of gov't lying about y2k?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Is there anyone out there who can tell me the extent of governent lying about y2k? Our gov. has NEVER lied about anything else before so why would they possibly lie about y2k and its effects? COuld they have something to hide? NAAAAAAAAA. If anything, people have become so accustomed to being lied to by the gov't they practically expect it nowadays. The lies this gov't puts out only serve to make people more afraid of y2k. I think that if they came clean then people wouldn't be so concerned about it. However, all these spin doctor type gov't responses only serve to cause public distrust and ultimiatedly, panic.

Our government is only interested in population control, to de- populate the country. This is why we have legalized abortion! This is why we have had many years of cancer research without them finding a cancer cure. This is why they created the AIDS VIRUS!!! You can bet that several cancer cures and aids cures have been found, but have been "shelved"!!! Blood electrification with a 9 volt battery kills the AIDS virus and cancer growths, but that has also been shelved! Enter it in your search engine and find out!

Of course the government wants population control. That's why you get tax deductions for having kids and other incentives to procreate. Of course.

Declan, the fact that tax credits are allowed for children is no indication of a benevolent attitude towards population growth by government. It is merely a symbolic gesture. If you want to see what government is doing to control the population levels in this country, visit any abortion clinic, planned parenthood center, etc. Our taxes pay the lion's share of these operations.

But that's just a small part of their game. Here's something a little darker to consider:

Take a look at H.B. 15090 (1969)... $10 million was earmarked for the 1970 DOD budget to create "a synthetic biological agent, an agent that does not naturally exist and for which no natural immunity could have been acquired. Within the next five to ten years it would probably be possible to make a new infective microorganism which could differ in several important aspects from any known disease-causing organisms. Most important of these is that it might be refractory to the immunological and therapeutic processes upon which we depend to maintain our relative freedom from infectious disease."

Ever hear of AIDS? Might want to research this.

A worthwhile journalistic enterprise might be to look into the U.S. State Department's Office of Population Affairs. Ever wonder why wars seem to occur like clockwork in the third world when the population gets a little large? No, it's not due to too many folks getting too crowded together... guess again. Look up this quote, attributed to Thomas Ferguson, an OPA Latin Affairs case officer: "We will go into a country and say, here is your goddamn development plan. Throw it out the window. Start looking at the size of your population and figure out what must be done to reduce it. If you don't like that, if you don't want to choose to do it through planning, then you'll have an El Salvador or an Iran, or worse, a Cambodia."

Check it out. Get the big picture. You'll never be the same again. I wasn't.

You can always apply the patented Greybear lie detector test for politicans. It's very simple and more reliable than an other test tried to date:

--- Watch to see if their lips are moving ---

Analysis methodology: If their lips are moving there is a 93.6% cance that they are lying.

Why2K,

You have dared blaspheme against our Religion. I am Ted Turner, High Priest and Paul Erlich is my Prophet (one of these days he'll be right about something, really, he will). Forget your prattle about imperialistic oppression of other countries and violations of human rights in the name of population control. Pay no attention to statistics about dangerous depopulation in vast parts of the world. Look away from our racial eugenics. Ignore our hypocritical personal consumption of the world's resources. And don't worry about the rapidly aging populations of the West; I say again, we did not need those babies that we flushed down the sink.

People are not a resource; they are a curse. Especially the dark ones. Repeat that until you are converted. Never again dare to utter a word against our Plan. That is all.

Dieter is ted Turner!!!!!!Now it all makes sense.

-- Deborah (starve@death.com), February 19, 1999.

I question the statement that federal govt. wants to de-populate. Rather I think they encourage more and more population...broader tax base, more little slaves to be used for various purposes, especially cannon fodder.

See They Live, the John Carpenter film....

Stay asleep!

Consume!!

Reproduce!!!

Obey!!!!

That link might have a typo in it, Kevin...got a failed link message from the main site.

Dontcha just love it? When I was a child spin was something you did on the playground on those carousels. Got you dizzy. Interesting how so many have forgotten what happens to perception when you spin the perceiver.

Given the legal-weasels (definitely no relation to wild weasels) who inhabit the highest realms of our government, it's a certainty that they *are not* lying. But you can rest assured that they are not volunteering any more of the facts than the absolute minimum that they have to release at any moment. And whatever is released is screened so finely that the facts are sifted finer than flour by the time we get them.

Our government LIE? Selectively withhold the truth is another matter.
