MSNBC Y2K Tonight

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

I caught the last few minutes. Perhaps someone can find a transcript. Scott Olmstead, The head of the Cassandra Project, Portier(?), a Wired assist editor and some goofy psyco stress tech shrink who thinks this is some game. In general it seemed much more sober and informational than many of the hype pieces that I have seen. There seemed to be a consensus that a problem existed but the 72hour prep ruled. I suppose that I should be happy for the progress. Oh, the announcer said his biggest fear was everyone taking their money out of the bank in October. Awareness seems to be growing. There was a poll that said 59% of Americans were concerned or very concerned about y2k. Now don't hold me to this number but I think it was 40% + that would withdraw money from the bank. This number keeps creeping up doesn't it? (10:45 PM Eastern Time) (It was on around 10:45 PM Eastern)

Where is Keith Olberman??? I liked his reporting better than any other media person? I refuse to watch John Gibson and Hockenberry puts me to sleep.. Keith where are you?

Gilda,

Your paramour Keith has defected, I think, to ABC. He also has nice hair and it's not a syrup.
