Get a shortwave listen to WWCR @ 5.070 Mhz nights 12.160 Mhz days also WHRI @ 5.745 Mhz. Other freq. 9.400, 5.085 and 7.415.

Hamradio nets Friday and Saturdays 3.950 at night at about 10:00 pm eastern. You need a shortwave with a BFO switch to receive hams. A must because many of the big shortwave stations will be brodcasting only on sideband within a year.

Also micro FM stations are starting up all over the country. People are getting start I hear for less than 1000 bucks.

Also I lived through the 67 riots in Detroit. Parts of the city had elect. & gas shut off. We our heading to rural area this time.

Been there done that!
