Awareness takes a baby step forward

My brother-in -law a very succesful lawyer was completely oblivious to Y2K until recently. His long-time best friend ,a very astute stockbroker, gave him advice as a friend not as a broker-Sell all your stock before January 2000.I don't know what my brother-in-law will do but he can no longer ignore Y2K.Wonder how many will really get out of the market? If it is a significant number we will be heading toward a downward trend in the market even before Y2K hits.Double Whammy.Ouch.

Many of us here have been expecting the market to crash several months before 2000.

Your brother-in-law is lucky to have such a friend.

Leo see Amazon, Yahoo, etc.

Leo see y2k.

Leo spend every available cent on shorting those companies.

Chuckles Leo.

Just pay attention to timing ... if there is such a thing. As I recall in the 1929 stock market crash the problem related to buying on margin.

You'd be better off selling "picks and shovels" in a gold rush Leo. Lessons learned from California of the 1850's. Be a merchant for what people need. (And for long term business, remember to be fair and offer good customer service).
