Mark, cut the crap. All that trash you posted under the name of freeman has cost you any credibility at all. -- You're two faced (stop@spouting.scripture), February 11, 1999.

Thanks! I was wondering (if you read one of my posts) how long it would take for someone to figure out who I was. I didn't think it would take too long. Good one.

I am not two faced. Some posts are non biblical and some are biblical. If I did not post the biblical with my name then I would be two faced, or ashamed. I am not and I think people on this forum are very astute.

(Rom 1:16 KJV) "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek."

Or, perhaps you prefer to be in disguise when showing your true nature. It's what you do behind closed doors that testifies to your relationship with the Lord. You may be able to fool people some of the time (although not very easily on this forum), but you cannot fool God.

Mark, let me remind you of a few of your posts:

What makes you think it is "Republican bullXXXX?" I'm Republican and I think the "War On Drugs" is bullXXXX and a Democrat (read commie) idea, with turncoat Republicans thrown in. It's all BullXXXX. "Money talks and cash is king listen to them greenbacks sing...penny for your thoughts of green..."

-- freeman (freeman@cali.com), February 04, 1999.

They, the Bankers, shouldn't have tilted the board so that all of the marbles roll into their corner. If the banks fail it is their own greedy damned fault. To hell with the Bankers.

Do you feel like this is a good Christian witness? Trust me, you're not doing God ANY favors by spouting His word, then cursing, and calling the Democrats commies. Try this one: "Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh."

How about cutting the Jesus crap now! This is not a Bible thumping BB and many of us are tired of these types of threads. They are divisive. If you want to argue about survival techniques, that's one thing, but go to Pastor Chris' BB and air your biblical differences there. The more your Christians bicker at each other, the more us "noncommitals," sit back and laugh at your stupidity and ignorance. Furthermore, you scare people who really want to knoww the facts away. Your not "christians," in my book of knowledge.

I agree with get out of here. I do not log on this site to get biblically enlightened. There are quite enough threads to read as is. Please take religious debate someplace else!

I agree this is not a Bible Preaching Forum and I have stated so in other areas of this forum. As I recall I have not started any Bible threads, however I will respond to the likes of Captain Ron and others.

NotBuyingIt..."Or, perhaps you prefer to be in disguise when showing your true nature." Is that your given name or your disguise name? I was going to use Freeman in all my posts but decided in response to Bible threads it would be better to use my real name and email address. What is wrong with that?

You're two faced (stop@spouting.scripture..."Republican bullXXXX?" That is a quote from another and the following is a Quote from the Bible...(Isa 36:12 KJV) "...hath he not sent me to the men that sit upon the wall, that they may eat their own dung, and drink their own piss with you?"

Commies and Bankers? Defend them if you like. (Acts 20:29 KJV) "For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock."

get out of here (gosomewhereelse@go.com), "you scare people", I have told people who start Bible threads that they should offer hope instead of all the "scary" stuff. (2 Tim 4:3-4 KJV) "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables."

With the Morning Star comes the light of day and PEACE. And we will have peace.

Mark,

I don't care who starts a religious thread!!! It doesn't mean that you have to answer! THIS IS NOT A RELIGIOUS DEBATE BOARD!!!!!!!

-- shivermetimbers (zerodegrees@brrrrrr.com), February 14, 1999.

Chill out Shivers! :-) You're only adding fuel to the fire. The best way to handle anything you don't like is to ignore it. Keeps your blood pressure down.

Normally, I would have ignored the thread as well, but I couldn't resist. Love to point out hypocrisies even if I can't spell it. Besides, I didn't see this as a "religious" thread. More like an expose (pretend there's a slash over that "e") on a forum participant.

Try as you might, you can't separate your faith from Y2K. Whether it's Christian, atheist, New Age/Metaphysics, or whatever. Most everyone seems prone to occasionally mix in quotes or references pertaining to their faith. That shouldn't bother anyone. I agree with Big Dog's thread though, that arguing over faith is off topic and is best taken elsewhere.

Still, it's a free country and a free forum. If someone starts one (even if I disagree with it), hey, I hold no ill will. I can ignore it or jump in. The choice is mine, but I'm certainly not going to waste my time trying to police this place by slamming everything I perceive crosses the line.

Are you going to be as vigilant in your monitoring efforts whenever someone posts other off topic threads? How about all of the Clinton scandal stuff or economic/stock market news? Or even the humor threads like our resident fruitcakes have engaged in (no offense intended guys, but that one takes so long to load it's hard to keep track of it anymore)? None advance the cause in the least, yet they are tolerated.

And 'yes' Christian arguments seem rather un-Christian at times. Reminds me of the way I used to argue with my brother and sisters growing up. Families do that sort of thing occasionally.

And let's stop pretending that arguing is an exclusive feature of Christians please. The nastiest battles fought here occur whenever someone posts something that isn't sufficiently gloomy to satisfy the resident "doomers". Whenever Paul Davis or Flint decide to express their opinions and analyses which are always intelligent and articulate, lookout, you'd have thought someone spoke heresy.

So let's remember that whenever you accuse Christians (or should I say "fundies") of being intolerant, that the shoe seems to be one size fits all.

Perhaps your blind distaste for Christians colors your objectivity a bit. If we are truly "in this thing together", then let's have a little more tolerance for EVERYONE.
