what will happen???.... How bad will it get???....

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Hi everyone,

I am new to this forum and I could use a little help. I am a y2k believer and we are preparing for the worse, but ofcourse, hoping for the best. It seems I'm having a problem working out the different scenarios in my head. This is where I hope you can help me. Tell me what you think will happen and when you think it will happen. Worse case, best case, or both. As detailed as you want to get.

Seriuosly, I am very interested in your thoughts and opinions. Since most everyone thinks we're nuts, we don't get much of a chance to speak out about this. So, take this chance to let it all out. I'm listening....

Waiting and watching for your reply, Kay

Go to "Older Thread," at the end of newly posted threads. They are by category of interests. Start reading all the threads because they are full of information that will help you to understand the whole scenario of Y2K. Keep reading the current threads and soon you'll be a GI (get it).

Kay,

"Prepare for the worst, hope for the best."

Ed Yourdon says that Y2k will result in a year of severe, "stay at home" disruptions, followed by a decade of economic depression rivalling that of the 1930s. I'm preparing for something somewhat worse than that. You will have to read and decide for yourself, ultimately. Good luck to you.

Hi, I've only been a regular for a little over a week. Your question is the big one. I think that's why just about everybody is here. Lots of good info here, some junk. Look around at some of the topics that interest you. I'm a programmer of 31 years, others here also, and people in many of the "important" fields, buts tons of just plain folk and their opinions also. >>> WELCOME <<< - <:)=

PS - Know anybody that doesn't get it? Send them over.

Everyone is welcome here to participate and no question is too dumb. Lurk for a while, read everything you can on the subject and decide for yourself which course you should be taking. Time is running out, and that's one thing none of us can do, and that's turning the clocks back. Good Luck.

Gotta take on Bardou's challenge that 'no question is too dumb'

How 'bout......"Can someone please tell me how to spell toaster"?

or......

"I heard that the last year of any century only contains 8 months and so after August this year, we jump right into the year 2000, giving us four less months to prepare....Is this true?"

Okay, even guys are entitled to a blonde moment.

At the BOTTOM of the page from where you got to here, there are many topic threads. Please read them before posting redundant question at the top of this forum. GI? (Get it?)

PREPARE AS IF YOUR LIFE DEPENDED UPON THE BASIC NECESSITIES!

Simple common sense.
