Preparedness Expo '99

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

I notice that Preparedness Expo '99 will be coming to my town soon. It is sponsored by an organization called Preparedness Shows, and the director is a man by the name of Dan Chittock. Has anyone attended one of these shows, and was it worthwhile? I don't know if this is the same group that sponsored the Seattle Expo or not. I know it's not the same group that sponsored the San Francisco Bay Area expo last weekend. (Diane, I think you mentioned that you attended that one. How was it?) Any information anyone has on this expo would be greatly appreciated before I plunk down my eight bucks for a ticket.

I have attended several preparedness expos and they are well worth your money and time!!! I have even traveled 800 miles one way to go to the San Diego Expo 2 years ago!!! Be sure to bring some money. If you see an item that you want to buy, and you failed to bring money, you will cuss at your self. I usually spend two or three hundred dollars at these shows!

Freddie--Now there's an idea... A book on how to prepare for a preparedness expo.

If we are discussing the one in Cleveland, at the Cuyahoga County fairgrounds this weekend (8-5 Sat and 8-4 Sun I think), they are agroup out of Columbus who was here last year. It wasn't large, but was fairly well atended. I expect this weekend to be VERY well attended.

Pam G.,

Working -- slowly -- on all my scribbled notes, and getting over flu. *Sigh*
