Good Taste, I have an ethical question. Does the story of Noah's ark give proper guidance in this situation?

Puddintame, methinks you right and we better batten down them hatches...

Sure the story of Noah's ark has relevance...however..this is not a case of abject wickedness...just abject stupidity. No one can deny that an independence on a system is slavery to it...and as it encompasses people's lives, and swallows up their ability to do simple things....i.e., the TV has stifled normal communication....the computer has, in some ways improved our lives...in other ways it has screwed things up...personally, I think it has done more good than harm. But we are completely sensitive and vulnerable to it. If the hearts of the masses were good and predictable, there is nothing man couldn't overcome. In this case...I think we all know where we stand. Did the Noachian flood occur? yes Is this a prelude to Armageddon? ..... it is for sure however...a sign of the times....Jer 10:23 it may even be a noteworthy big boo-boo, and a catalyst to take us to the Great Tribulation...who knows...but the "lock and Load mentality ought to wake people up....there will be more panic and over-reaction than there will need to be with this one...i am beginning to believe that....and sadly, many "lock and load" paranoidals will be taking eachother out....

Rick... Are you insane?

"....and sadly, many "lock and load" paranoidals will be taking eachother out...."

I'm sure that you would call me a "lock and load paranoidal" because of the type and quantity of my firearms. Now what I can't grasp is, why would any of us kill eachother if there isn't a problem? Do you think if things are a bump in the road, I'm going to go bonkers and hunt down others who have prepared? Maybe you have a different idea of recreational activities, but fire fights are not my idea of fun. The whole idea of preparation is to limit our exposure to a potentially chaotic outside world. If things are bad, I'm not leaving the damn house if I don't have to!

(Isa 26:20 KJV) "Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast."
