Assitance on my purchase

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Imaging Resource Discussion : One Thread

Hello. I purchased the Kodak DC260 a few months ago and have decided to get rid of it because I feel the image quality is not up to par. I am now seeking a replacement for around the same price as the DC260. My main things that I am concerned with when buying a new camera are IMAGE QUALITY, IMAGE QUALITY, IMAGE QUALITY :) . I am less concerned with bells, whistles and mucho features that I will never use. I want to buy a camera that will take great pictures out of the camera and especially a camera that will take great pictures indoors as I will be shooting most of my pictures inside. If anyone can offer me advice as to which camera to buy I would really appreciate it. Please email me.

Thanks,

Glenn

Image Quality was my utmost concern when I was searching for my camera and I finally zeroed in on the Nikon CoolPix 900. Not as many bells and whistles as the 900s and the 950 is due soon. If you could still find a 900, I'd recommend it. The image quality is superb. Good luck!

Worth waiting another week or so - there's a lot of stuff being announced at the PMA show. We've been playing with two new units, and they're pretty incredible! - Cost will be about where you're looking, also.
