It was unusual to receive a response from a Senator who doesn't represent my state of Arkansas. I believe since my state's abbreviation is AR, that the office of Senator McCain of Arizona, must think AR is for Arizona and thus I was lucky enough to get my ha ha for the day. In this letter delivered via snail mail today from Senator McCain of Arizona it is stated:

"As Chairman of the Commerce Committee, I will continue to provide oversight of the progress being made by agencies within the Committee's jurisdiction to ensure timely Year 200 (yes it says Year 200) compliance and preparation of reasonable contingency plans where necessary."

I know folks, just a typical typo, but such a funny one I had to share.

Other Lisa, You know... that is what the problem is.... They (the government) is working on the Year 200 problem.... not the Year 2000 problem. We are doomed!!!!! :P

So we'll be at Year 200 (AD or BC ?) level of technology, rather than 1900 as I'd naively expected. Obviously a Freudian slip.
