Some of you may have noticed the cold spell in Alaska recently. This image was taken in Anchorage at -30deg f at 10:30am. The clouds are made up of ice crystals. All the moisture in the air has frozen. I used no filters. The bright disk is the Sun, of course.

Less talk more image eh?

A very unusual and effective image. It actually gives you a chill just looking at it. Well done. Bahman.

Ditto on what Bahman said. The sun look like a large pearl.

I can only say "me too" with regard to the comments already offered. Obviously you are not afraid of working in the cold, and to very good effect. Great shot!

Very dramatic and powerful lighting! I wish the strip of trees had a more defined texture. They appear somewhat compressed and clumpy rater than having distinct feathery silhouettes.

I agree with ALL comments made above, very effective.

Hi Micheal,A really cool shot. (Get it? Cool? Sorry, it's late for me.) I can add no more other than to say that I wonder if you have a really wide angle of this, maybe in a horizontal?
Regards, Jim

I shot a lot of images of this scene. The one I like is a horizontal Jim. (www.alaska.net\~Kellys\IceFog2.jpg) My copy of this image is lighter Larry and you can see more detail in the trees. I still don't have down getting the images in PSP to look right in Netscape. Thanks for the comments one and all.
