Y2K - The Aftermath

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

About 2 years before Y2K, a lot of people began storing supplies to survive "the crisis" (some earlier!). With less than a year to go, in my opinion, it is worth considering how people will react in the aftermath (beyond simple panic). My concern here is World Socialism, or a "more efficient global economy" for those NWO fans out there.

Here is a backgrounder I think useful, writtent by Pat Buchanan:

http://rampages.onramp.net/~rampage/buchanan.htm

The article is entitled "Clinton has reduced morality to a disease", in case the article is updated (the URL always has his latest update).

The same way the Government & banks worry about how the "little" people will react, I worry about how the "big" people will react.

I think you may find the thread called TBOTWAWBI (The Beginning of the World as we Build it) interesting. The url is:

I've been concerned about this issue as well. Actually, I'm scared out of my head. Unfortunately, there really isn't anything that can be done at this point, aside from stocking even more supplies. It's been said on another thread but..., we'd better hope that it's either a bump in the road or total disruption. It wouldn't be a bad idea to keep a few copies of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence around. Maybe they'd remind the troops what they are supposed to owe their allegiance to.
