Has an article about today's stock market but the interesting part is the following excerpt. Dan Rather specifically stated that it is a "Y2K" computer problem:

"E*Trade Group (EGRP) retreated 1 3/4 to 53 1/2 amid a second day's worth of problems linked to a software bug. Numerous customers reported an inability to place trades on the E*Trade system, which handles about 40,000 transactions daily."

Interesante, no?

Yes.

I had seen the AP wire news story on this earlier this afternoon, however, it made no connection to Y2K. It merely stated that it was a software problem. Wonder how Dan got the "Y2K connection" info?

I posted early this morning about E Trade. This is two days in a row they have had problems with the computer. I wonder how many investors will pull out. The report I heard did not mention Y2k.

He didn't mention any detail, but it was the Y2K part of his story that got my attention, of course. He did mention that it was the second day of this problem.
