Media: Airlines and Y2k

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

I turned on the T.V. this morning to an ABC blurb regarding the Airline industry and Y2k. According to this short, 30 second, blurb today is THE day for airlines. They may suffer failures in making reservations into the year 2000. Where they got their info I haven't a clue. They didn't do an in depth report, unfortunately.

Why today? Does anyone have real information regarding this issue?

I wonder if awareness will take a giant leap in the next few days?

Apparently this is the first day that reservations can be made for travel in 2000 (forward 330 days). Several news reports out there on it, I think there may be a previous thread covering it.
