What's up with USENET? Neither Dejanews nor altavista list any postings for today 2/1/99? JAE in action?

aaaa, Since first thing this morning I've been unable to retrieve USENET y2k messages from today. Don't know what's going on.

So much for PLAN B.

I just checked Dejanews (search; subject: y2k). There were no posts dated for today (1 Feb 1999)on any of the "found" sites, however, I went to comp.software.year-2000 and there were several posts dated with today's date so that site is working anyway. Mayhaps it is a case of "broke" stuff?

Back to plan B?

It it's broke, it's on the dejanews end of things. USEnet is fine. My newsreader gets 100s of messages for today and yesterday I got 100s of them too. Bobbi http://www.buzzbyte.com/

Yeah, my reader was working fine too Bobbi, and, FWIW, dejanews now lists several posts dated today. I guess whatever was stuck got unstuck.
