ev and white balance

i have a fuji mx-700. have noticed a yellow cast for some images taken under tungsten but NOT compensated by adjusting for white balance. in checking out "white balance" also see 'exposure value'. believe that i understand each but also seemd to me that they may vary together ad i have found nothing that speaks of their interaction. anybody?

At low brightness, the camera's auto WB circuitry doesn't have enough "oomph" in the blue channel to completely balance-out the yellow cast of the tungsten lighting. Thus, you'll frequently see yellow cast in dimmer tungsten lighting that is successfully compensated for under brighter conditi
