Green ti leaves are used for good luck to ward off evil spirits. You'll see people waving them at games.

Ti leaves have many other uses. They're used in cooking in the traditional Hawaiian way to wrap food in the imu and in modern ways in the oven. Ti leaves are also used decoratively placed on a plate to show off our delicious local foods.

Ti leaves are also used to make hula skirts and leis.
