Speak Out and Be Heard

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Electric Utilities and Y2K : One Thread

Hi all, I work in the communications industry and a friend that works at a network TV affiliate fwd'd the following from a daily industry newsletter called Shoptalk. Even though this is not directly related to Electric Utilities, I have read a number of concerns that mass media is skewing information concerning readiness, nuke plants, the status of the national grid, etc regarding electric untilities. Well for those who are disapointed in mass media coverage of the electric industry you have a chance to be heard...Nationally, both on TV and in a webcast. Phone numbers of the producers of this Net/Commercial Broadcast are are also included if you would like to receive a copy of the national poll. For those with satellite accesibilty, transponder coordinates are also given: Speak out and be heard. Thanks for a great board, hope this helps those of you who have been disapointed in the mass media coverage of the electric utilities. Rusty

Is media coverage of the Year 2000 bug more hype than substance? Is it either? Hear the public speak out about what they like or dislike about how the media are handling this continuing story.
