simulation of DRAM in lab3

greenspun.com : LUSENET : ece342 : One Thread

Hi I compiled my block I and II of the DRAM circuit, but when I simulate it using the simulator, it appears that I can't drive the I/O signal to hiZ. Why?

Make sure you read Robin's post about simulating tri-state busses.

Also keep in mind that you can't really drive a 'Z'. 'Z' means high-impedance state, which really means not driving. If a valid logic value is driven on the bus by a another party, it overpowers the 'Z'.
