A Question for Paul Milnegreenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread |
Paul, I tend to agree with your assessment of the y2k crisis. I have been researching the problem for close to 2 years now and see no way that we will pull through this without some major changes in life-style. Not the end of the world BUT, the end of the world AS WE KNOW IT. I am not an IT pro, I work in the recording business, and do voice over commercials for a living, fat chance I'll be working next year, but I was wondering, before all of this, what did you do for a living? Are you in the Biz, so to speak? Btw, I do really appreciate your contributions and your John Wayne gung-ho approach adds much to my day. Thanks. Rusty2k in Birmingham, preparing for the worse, hoping for the best...

No. I am not in the 'biz' nor is it necessary to be in the 'biz' to understand what is happening. I was a commodities broker before I moved to Virginia. I work as an electrician down here now.

I don't think I inferred that it required an IT background to Get It. Thank you for the personal information. Rusty
