Does anyone know which is better: metal or plastic containers for long-term storage of kerosene?

Walt, A good website is put out by Chevron. Try this http://www.chevron.com/prodserv/index.html

If that doesn't get you in just go to www.chevron.com and go to products and services, then technical services then long term storage.

Plastic. Kerosene is not volatile enough to migrate through the wall in any reasonable period of time, plus plastic won't rust. Metal kero cans can rust-through internally when water settles out of the kerosene.
