As usual, Canada leads the way in informing their public and taking "right" action based on their citizens expressed concerns.

The City of Albuquerque postponed the return to school after the Christmas holiday. The stated reason was "just in case" they experience any Y2k related problems.

The actual length of time escapes me at the moment, but if memory serves correctly, it was an extra 10 days or so.
