My white poodle has awful red brown stains under his eyes. He has no hair in his eyes or turned in skin or eye lashesl I am looking for a home remedy to help with this as he looks to pitiful. THANKS

There are several brands of tear stain removers available through pet shops and groomers, which will lighten these stains. In addition, if hte tearing is excessive, your veterinarian can prescribe antibiotic eye drops, which can decrease the amount of tearing. Some tearing will always occur, however. You can also decrease tear staining by washing their face with a warm wash cloth before the stain "sets" in.

another home remidy would be to make a saline solution with just a little salt and warm water to bleach out the stain. and washing the face daily helps conciderably.
