To those who know the islands well....is there any place on any island which is a locally known "best area" to see green sea turtles? Before I moved here to Oahu, I vacationed in Kuaui years ago and took a Zodiak boat tour along the Napali(Napili?) coast. We saw very few turtles as it was - but I also figured since it was a well-toured area that maybe the turtles stay away from this area.

I have been reading about an ongoing study of the turtles on Maui...perhaps I could figure out how to drop by there. I'd like to get some photographs.

Swim out to Flat Island at Kailua beach. We have yet to swim out there and not have turtles escort us.
