I did: eMailed Drudge about exposing Y2K; soon after he started headlining it. He wants to more but is playing it out carefully so ppl don't get tired of it. Short attention spans out there. He wants big juicy "proof" news. Govt wobbly statistics and spec can't cut it for now. The collapse of life as we know it just isn't as interesting to the masses as constant replays of LewdWinceSkeaz.

FWIW: Matt Drudge did headline a reference to a Reuters report of some Y2K comments by Arthur C Clarke a few days ago, but I think that the complexity of the Y2K story may exceed what Matt's visitors would be willing to digest, at least for a while.

I think Leska's reference to juicy "proof" news is on target. If the story needs much explanation, some surfers will follow it, but most will just skip it.

fuming, you must collect your mind and read more carefully. If you had read my post, you would have seen that it never referred to Monica in the least, but only to the media's endless sleazy re-hashing to the exclusion of important news discussions.

The news should have a responsibility towards informing the public of anything that could imperil them. It doesn't matter who the players are or what ridiculous things they did, if such activities and the constant fly-buzz stirring the manure pile obstructs the public's view of life-threatening real issues.

History will indeed judge all portions of our civilization in the aftermath.

fuming, once again, you need to read more carefully. I am on record here on this Forum as stating many times emphatically that Clinton should have resigned immediately, and his staying in office is reprehensible as it obstructs the Y2K issue.

Further, if you read observantly, I am a writer who enjoys silly playing with word constructs, and the Clinton word does not have the potentials of many others. This has nothing to do with the characters, just the consonants and vowels.

Sorry that you have a sensitivity to gender issues. I admit that I do not pay any attention to gender and never have. Not interested in genderizing Y2K, but maybe quipping Kinkdone.
