The key is knowing when to haul ass out of here, when will that be???????what is the q??????my wife already thinks im nuts(adjective) I intend to buy some good detailed maps whatever their called typographical? but theres swamp due east. If you wait until late december that may be too late, any suggestions?

2 main roads? What about US1 and A1A up the east coast and highway 98 up the Gulf coast?

Ask for a topographic map. If you ask for a typographical map, they might give you the wrong one.

Why sweat it, Moose when that idiot Lanza on the Westergaard site says everything is fine in south florida. You only have the bugs to worry about, and you won't freeze. You also get two growing seasons a year

My question for moose is:

Why the hell would you want to LEAVE south Florida?

pshannon - that was actually my first question too. I'd like to head further south myself. Can you say Islamorada? Heaven on Earth folks!

Neither US1 or A1A would be a valid choice as both are surface streets so to speak and are effectively "Main" street to too many cities, towns, and villages. If 40 year old memories hold true. cr

True statement. US1 goes through hundreds of little towns. A1A and 98 too. Not really an I95 or a turnpike but a main road out if he needs other options.

Maybe I didn't understand something correctly. Just where exactly do you want to go, Moose?

In the post Y2k paper today a moose was killed because it did not know when to migrate north the hunter named Bubba said it would look good on his wall but it might be sick because it acted stupid by not knowing the correct trail and time to migrate so he will not eat it this is the first moose to be seen in Florida after the iceage.

i am in the florida keys and i plan on staying. why not in south fla? if you stay out of dade broward you should be fine. i plan on my garden, rain water, fish, and lobster. The everglades would not be a bad place if you could take care of the skeeters. Cape florida would be good too, you have the ocean breeze to slow the bugs. Face it South fla is just as good as anywhere else if the SHTF.
