Focus Website Rocks!

I like what you guys have put together with your expertise. We could use some more gallery images, and posting of events needs to be filled out. I would hope to see lots of info on the meetings posted for those who were unable to make it there in person. Keep up the good work!

Thanks Helene - Nice to hear from you - we have missed you at Focus meetings.

Eileen Matro is the main designer for the website, and does have lots of good ideas about how to dress it up when she has time. For now we mainly wanted to get it up and running so people could start using it. The site is primarily functional, meant to be used as much as possible, but of course visual style and impact is very important in making it efficient and appealing.

(by the way - Helene and other artists: email jpg files of your artworks, artist statement, resume if you like, and any other contact info to either myself or to Claudia Stack-Kremer (claudia.kremer@usa.net), and we will get it posted on the gallery pages).

very nice site, functional and to the point. i have only recently started coming to the focus group, and i find the experience overall to be rewarding and informational. i think a site such as this is a natural extension of the group. it has the potential to be a very nice addition to the group as a whole. this site is a great way for a newcomer like myself to become more educated about the group and its intent. i look forward to attending more meetings and becoming more involved in the group. i did have one idea for the site, which may be more of an idea for those of us who choose to waste away hours of freetime on the internet, anyway, maybe you should not just have your standard page of related links, but perhaps you could include a section where members of the group could submit his or her favorite links. not everyone surfs on the same world wide wave, and there is a lot out there. just a thought i had while i was checking out the site, which looks great. have a great day! jeffrey isham.

Hi, Jim. I think the web site looks great! It's a wonderful beginning. It will be nice as we get more and more events on the calendar, too.

This is actually Jim Grafsgaard, trying to post a proxy message for Doug, so he can get connected to this discussion, and others as they follow. Please welcome him to the mix (we need more mixers).
