KONICA RANGEFINDER

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Konica 35mm SLRs : One Thread

Traffic on the Leica Users Group seems to be confirming the existence of the Hexar II with interchangeable lenses. It uses the Leica M (bayonet) lens mount. Same said to have three lenses: 28mm f/2.8, a 35mm, and a 60mm f/1.2. The last may be a design that was sometimes sold with the M3 Leica in the mid-50's - 8 elements in 6 groups.

Hexar II

I asked Konica in Denmark half a year ago and I was told that Konica did not have the Hexar II ready for Photokina in Cologne (Koeln) September 1998 as originally planned, but that it would be released April 1999. Their message was not at all hypothetical or conditional so apart from the precision of the timing, I think it can be relied upon.

Hexar II

Any word on how the RF is going to function? I'm getting out of school just about then (Apr 99) and I'm going to be on board!

Photodo http://www.photodo.com/ has the latest word on the inter- changeable lens Konica rangefinder. In summary, it is being referred to as the LS-2; it is manual focus; it uses Leica M mount; and is to be offered with 28, 50, and 90mm Konica lenses
