Oahu. This is the island with Waikiki and Honolulu. We live in Kailua which is on the other side of the mountains from Waikiki/Honolulu. It's about a 1/2 hour drive from Waikiki. Of course it's the more beautiful side of the island since there's less traffic and more greenery 8))) Population of Kailua is about 35,000 and 835,000 on Oahu.

There is a fresh water "hole" called Jackass Gingers up the Pali. As for secret blow holes?, nope, but there is a blow hole a few miles from Kailua. Son loves to surf and football and daughter likes boogie boarding, baseketball and voleyball.

I mis-read a previous comment thinking you lived on Khawi (spelled wrong, I'm sure!). So glad that you are within driving distance. You are right, as I remember your side of the island is much greener. Are there any waterfalls or "secret" blow holes in your area that would be of interest to visit? Do your kids surf or play sports?
