Upset.

I started coming to this forum because I have great respect for Ed Yourdon (I know, spelling isn't my best) and for several months I got a lot of good information from you all. I took a week off due the the death of my MIL and come back to nothing but flames!! What has happened to the support group that was here when I first joined? Is everyone getting stressed out? I'm not flaming anyone, just asking what happened.

Don't sweat it. This place has ups and downs and round and rounds. Give it time and it will turn again.

PS It is still the best on the net IMHO.

Flagirl,

How long have you been calling here? Sure, there are too many flames lately. It comes and goes on this forum and isn't anything new. I think it was even worse in late November.

It could have something to do with a sudden need right now by businesses and the government to make us see a rosy future. For some reason, people who seem to have no interest in personal preparation are calling here a lot right now to disagree with those of us who feel we need our own sources of heat and water in early 2000.

As always, take from this forum what makes sense to you and ignore the rest. It's always been that way here and probably always will.

Not only more flames, more posts of all kinds. I was out of town for three days and I'm having a hard time catching up.

The only answer to the folks who come here to diss everyone who's trying to get ready for what may happen is

If you don't want to read about this, read something else.

It's been said before:

Never try to teach a pig to sing. It wastes your time, and it annoys the pig.
