White background

I have D340L and my problem is that white wall backgrounds always have a moddled (like rainbow) effect. Is there anyway to overcome this? BGJones

'Don't know what image-quality setting you're shooting at, but you might try a lower compression setting: The effect you describe could be caused by the JPEG compression giving you fewer effective tonal gradations in each color. Another possibility - do you see this all the time, or only with flash usage? Flash and room light usually have pretty different color balances, so you might be seeing a gradation due to the light falloff of the flash. Again, lower compression should help. (Unless you're already shooting at maximum quality!)
