Maui Potato Chips : LUSENET : About Hawaii : One Thread

Few years ago, I had the good fortune of enjoying some "Maui Potato Chips". They were the best potato chips I ever ate...hard to describe why...they were just plain good! Question: Are authentic Maui chips still in production? Any one know of a web-site where one could order them online?

Yup, they're still in production. Best is the big boys tried to buy them out, but they wouldn't sell. Lays and company had to try their best to copy them, but no cigar ;))) Anyways, at least they expanded enough so that the chips are now available on the other islands besides Maui. Don't know if they have a site, but would gladly pick them up for you and mail um to you 8))

It is manufactured at the same place 295 lalo street , Kahului, Maui, HI 96732 since 1956. These are the authentic Maui chips that put Maui on the potato chip map. Thankyou very much for the compliments. You can order the chips from us at this address. Call (808)877-3652 for more information. You can talk to me or my wife Diane to help you with any other information you are seeking.

Mark & Diane, I am STILL hooked on them chips! I eat 'em all the time. One of these days I have to make it over to Maui and visit you folks and that factory. Life is good here on Kauai. I see Roen, Michelle & Hatada often. Aloha- Jerry (Nish)
