Contract for Grade asked in the M.Ed./Extension Forums at UMD Q&A Forum -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Contract for Grade. Will R. Ylinemi I would like to contract for an A in the course. I will meet all of the C requirements and complete two projects for an A contract.

The two designated projects will be:

(1) Outline, describe and summarize my participation and observations of the University of Minnesota Extension Service Personnel Selection Committee process of interviewing and hiring Regional Forestry Extension Educators. The hiring process should be completed by April of 1999. A summary of my observation and comment will be posted on the Cohort Web Site and will be presented by ITV during a regular class meeting. I will prepare a summary of conclusions in handout format.

(2) A written summary of my involvement with the cohort group working with Sue Damme on the Early Career Workshops for Extension Educators. I will interview Early Career participants from previous training sessions to determine what training objectives would better satisfy their information and learning needs during upcoming Early Career training sessions. I will participate as a facilitator and presenter during the January 25-27, 1999 Early Career Training session in Alexandria. This will also require the participation in: planning, preparation of materials, facilitation and presentation of sessions, and the evaluation process.

I know this is well in-progress...an excellent way to reflect on, synthesize and use new and "old" information. Thank you.
